Welcome to Under the Whispering Sky Blog!

Life is in the journey, that not the destination mounts a return worth the measure of the trail.  I guess that’s true enough but at some point you sort of want to see the harvest collected, and brought to market, to feed the world somehow.  So here it a project of more miles than a map can gather.  I can’t even begin to express the endurance of this thing, the loss of two great friends who were instrumental in the process of this thing.  Both suicides.  Both great cowboys and rich with all they were. There loss alone could spell the end of this thing.  Perhaps just stubborn will makes it still here and breathing.

It also survived a rattle snake in the cupboard, a dark and mean soul who tried to win the project away from us with vile intentions.  He didn’t succeed.  And so I went again out into the wildness of the west and set my camera to the far off horizon.   I’ve changed the name of the film now to encompass more of what we meant to feel, and say.   May this blog serve as a journal to all and a reckoning of our trail.   A few miles to go til water. May our horses stay strong and us with them in the saddle.
